The collectective theme to this body of work is an exploration of the small intimate textures that can be sometimes overlooked during a walk into a National Park - or even in the backyard.

Inspired directly by a field trip to the Walls of Jeruselum in early 2006, this work is to encourage the viewer to stop and take a moment to enjoy every fungi, moss, leichan, insect, bug and leaf that scatter the forest floorbed. Each step has beauty and a sense of discovery that can surpass the grand mountain that was our aim at the end of our field trip.
