Silent Jewels is a dazzling event inviting customers to bid in a silent auction for unique handmade jewellery by sixteen talented designers and makers. This diverse group of jewellers from all over Queensland are united in their passion for creating original handmade jewellery.

Silent Jewels promises a night of fun, music and excitement as well as the unique opportunity to purchase original jewellery by some of Queensland's creative best. With over 140 works of jewellery , there is something for everyone.

Not only is there silver, gold, pearls and gems but also jewellers have incorporated enamel, aluminium, pebbles, shell and even plastics into neckware, brooches, rings, bracelets, earrings and cufflinks. Inspirations come from nature and the environment, the human body, recycling and gun ornamentation to name a few.

Silent Jewels is a Jewellers and Metalsmiths Group of Queensland event to raise funds for an exhibition of Queensland jewellery in Melbourne, February 2004 coinciding with a Jewellers and Metalsmiths Group of Australia conference.
