CORGADO - hooked on the circular form
CORGADO, hooked on the circular form, is a Spanish inspired look at hooked adornment. Pendants and earrings are a form of adornment which must be hooked onto the body to be worn. They are also the lure which attracts one to the wearer’s personality and sensuality.

The collection on display is an in - depth play on the variations one can create through repetition of a simple shape - the circle. The work I have designed and created for this show has been largely influenced by my passion for primitive and cultural adornment. The primitive influence is evident in the use of the material bone, which I use in two colours , ivory and ebony . The simplistic use of colour and shape allows for the pendants to speak to the admirer more intimately with little distraction.

Whilst being of Greek origin, I have been brought up with various cultural influences which are now evident in my jewellery. The cultural influences of Corgado are largely Spanish and Moroccon.

Corgado is ornate, delicate and simple - to my mind the embodiment of feminine sensuality. I believe the wearer of any piece from the collection will be empowered with strength and grace.
