St. Jerome's Laneway Festival 2011
I was asked by dear friend Ky Curren to create 5 t-shirts for the St. Jerome's Laneway Festival Green Room in Brisbane.

Armed with 1 week, 5 shirts and puff paint - i thought I would step away from an expected 'screenprint' t-shirt design and make a series of t-shirts that a 'jeweller' would make...

5 t-shirts with detachable brooch elements and puff paint detail were completed just a few short days before the festival.

I made lots of shirts as a kid with puff paint and this was a fantastic time travel back to those days and reminisce at HOW MUCH FUN PUFF PAINT is!

The brooch elements amongst these designs are oxidised copper.
They each have a stainless steel pin and silver clasp on the back.

I decided to focus 3 shirts on tree designs and 2 with clouds.

Since the horrific flash flood in Toowoomba, the flooding of Brisbane and cyclone Yasi in far north Queensland, I was 'inspired' you could say to design a t-shirt which was my interpretation of the extreme and unpredictable outcomes of mother nature.

Below is my understated interpretation..

As the clouds are brooches, they can be removed and changed around varying locations on the t-shirt
